A makerspace is a collaborative workspace that allows students to work together to learn, collaborate, and share. Makerspaces allow us to explore, create new things, or improve things that already exist.
Some recent Markerspace activities have included:
-"Christmas Around the World" theme where the students learned about customs, traditions, and stories from other countries, then completed crafts based upon what they learned.
-collaborative art projects where each student in the school participated in creating group artwork for our Learning Commons
-Dewey Decimal activities with the intent of the students being able to understand and search for books in the Learning Commons independently
-activities in using technology to learn and explore
